Fantastic Fireworks Grand Finale! Suspended in mid air over Cars watching the spectacle. Lets celebrate! Great red, yellow, purple and gold explosions of sparks. Composite graphic of original photos I took on the 4th of July, Independence Day with my Olympus D435.
I always love going to fireworks displays. My daddy was the only guy who could set them off for 200 miles in our unincorporated area of Ohio. I used to sit on the tailgate while he shot off the mortars and watched the fireworks climb a hundred feet into the air. The explosions shook the car and sent vibrations through me that I'll never forget! One time a mortar misfired and was found 60 feet away the next morning.
The most unusual fireworks events I attended were at Mukelshoot, south of Seattle on Indian land where people set off their own, usually bought a few feet away. One time a firework accidentally went under a car someone had parked inside the lighting area, setting fire to it. =o
